On 23 March 2023 in New York on the margins of the United Nations 2023 Water Conference the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the IOM’s Deputy Director General for operations Ms. Ugochi Daniels.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for cooperation in the field of migration and the process of implementing IOM projects in the Republic of Tajikistan.

Ms. Ugochi Daniels, emphasizing the growing global threats and challenges, especially the impact of natural disasters on the economic and social situation of vulnerable states, including mountainous countries, expressed the Organization’s willingness to intensify its activities to implement relevant projects in Tajikistan.
